Many healthcare providers still have not adopted electronic health records. Now is the time to designate the time and effort to accelerate the adoption of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
We are here to help you implement an EHR system into your practice, transfer all current patient data from the traditional office patient charts, or any software that you are currently using and set up the back-end for managing purposes. We will train your staff and transition your practice into one of the many EHR systems that are available.
Once the practice is using EHR system, we can proceed to achieve meaningful use, and other incentives that are available through the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 which primarily focuses on healthcare information technology. The Health Information Technology of Economic & Clinical Health Act (HITECH) is part of the ARRA.
Prescribing providers that have been participating in electronic prescribing or who are initiating the implementation into an EHR system are also eligible to participate in eRx incentive programs that are set forth by CMS. The Medicare Modernization Act (MMA) of 2003 included the electronic prescribing to reduce medication errors received widespread publicity, helping build awareness of e-prescribing in enhancing patient safety. The main goal in eRx is to build a national electronic health information infrastructure in United States.
See Incentive Program Enrollment & Attestation for detailed explanation of incentive programs available through CMS.
