Financial Inquiries – Last 50 Checks and Payment Floor
Noridian’s online portal now offers the most recent fifty checks issued to the user’s National Provider Identifier (NPI)/ Provider Transaction Access Number (PTAN). For Part B and DME, it also offers “payment floor” related information such as the number of pending claims and dollar amount, number of claims approved-to-pay and dollar amount, number of claims paid month-to-date and dollar amount, and the number of claims paid year-to-date and the dollar amount. At this time, payment floor information is not currently being offered for Part A providers due to existing functionality in the Direct Data Entry (DDE) system.
For Part A and Part B providers, there are two separate departments that can assist with Endeavor related inquiries. The phone numbers to access either department are: Jurisdiction F (877-908-8431) and Jurisdiction E (855-609-9960).
User Security is available to assist with questions regarding difficulties with registration, password reset requests, locked accounts, consolidating multiple User IDs for multiple provider numbers into a single account and missing access. The User name, User ID, Unique Identification Number (UIN) and the last five digits of the Tax Identification Number (TIN) are required for inquiries to User Security regarding Endeavor.
Customer Service is available to assist with questions regarding the functions available, how to register, results of the inquiry response and to report system unavailability.
For DME suppliers, Customer Service is available at 877-320-0390 to assist with any questions regarding the functions available, how to register, results of the inquiry response and to report system unavailability. Any questions regarding difficulties with registration, logging in, password resets, locked accounts or granting new access would be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include the User name, User ID, UIN and last five digits of the Tax ID for all emailed inquiries for DME Endeavor assistance. Note: DME is unable to assist with Part A or Part B Endeavor-related inquiries.
Medicare Numbers or Beneficiary Names – Cause of Errors
Noridian routinely receives reports of information not being accessed in Endeavor when the provider/supplier knows there is a claim or appeal on file. In most of the situations, we have found that the information is being copied and pasted instead of rekeyed into Endeavor. Although copying and pasting is acceptable, Endeavor will return an error message as it cannot locate information when an extra space has been copied into the name or Medicare Health Insurance Claim Number (HICN). Additionally, nicknames cannot be used. The system cannot locate a claim for “Bill Smith” when the beneficiary is actually “William Smith”.
Endeavor Survey – Differs from Website Satisfaction Survey
Providers and suppliers who use Endeavor are encouraged to complete a survey to share their experience using Endeavor, www.surveymonkey.com/s/RCNMS6Z. This survey asks questions to better understand how our customers use Endeavor and what they would like to see changed.
Availability and System Downtime
Noridian uses multiple systems to provide Endeavor’s functionality. There have been interruptions to Endeavor’s availability that we continue to address by adding more connections, memory, and upgrades. We know providers rely on Endeavor to streamline their inquiries to Medicare. CMS publishes announcements to www.hetsstatus.com/ as it pertains to their HIPAA Eligibility Transaction System (HETS); which is the source of data for eligibility inquiries in Endeavor. When there is a service interruption, Noridian investigates the reported issue and publishes announcements on our websites.

Examples of issues currently being addressed by Noridian include transactions that are taking longer than 60 seconds that result in a provider/supplier being logged out of the system and the redeterminations and reopening intermittently allowing the upload of supporting documentation.

Providers and suppliers are encouraged to review the Endeavor User Manual that is available on the website. The resource includes instructions as well as images that assist our customers with registration and account maintenance, details of the features (inquiry and results) and contact information for assistance.
